March is Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month

Stroke Death Rates, 2008-2010. Age adjusted average annual deaths per 100,000 among adults ages 35 and older, by county. Rates range from 32.9 to 283.1 per 100,000. Counties with the highest rates are located primarily in the Southeast U.S., including Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and northern Texas.

Wyandot County Public Health is nationally accredited through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). Established in 2007, PHAB is the non-profit organization that administers the national accreditation program, which aims to advance and transform public health practice by championing performance improvement, strong infrastructure, and innovation.
