Since March 2020, Wyandot County Public Health staff has been hard at work providing the most up-to-date information and assistance to the community of Wyandot County as it deals with the COVID-19 pandemic. At the core of its mission, public health aims to prevent, promote, and protect the public's health.

Wyandot County Public Health has aimed to PREVENT the spread of COVID-19 with local education on community spread and mask usage as well as community vaccination and testing efforts; to PROMOTE healthy choices related to COVID-19 including staying home when sick with or exposed to the virus, maintaining social distancing in public, using a mask, and following proper hygiene protocols; and to PROTECT the public against severe illness or death from COVID-19 with weekly COVID-19 vaccination clinics.

Vaccination Clinics

Wyandot County Public Health offers Walk-in COVID vaccine clinics for those 18 and older every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at our offices at 127-A South Sandusky Avenue in Upper Sandusky. These clinics offer both the initial series of the Moderna vaccine as well as the updated Moderna (bivalent) booster, approved for those 18 and older.

Pediatric and adolescent COVID vaccinations are available by appointment on Mondays and Fridays at Wyandot County Public Health. These clinics offer only the initial series of the Moderna vaccine approved for those 6 months to 17 years old. No booster doses are available at these pediatric and adolescent clinics. Individuals in this age group seeking a booster dose must receive either the original (monovalent) Pfizer booster (approved for ages 5-11) or the updated (bivalent) Pfizer booster (approved for those 12 and older), available locally from other healthcare providers.

COVID-19 Test Kits

Free COVID-19 test kits are available for pickup at Wyandot County Public Health on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

State of Ohio COVID-19 Dashboard

The State of Ohio COVID-19 Dashboard displays the most recent preliminary data reported to the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) about cases, hospitalizations and deaths in Ohio by selected demographics and county of residence. Data for cases and hospitalizations is reported to ODH via the Ohio Disease Reporting System, and verified mortality data is reported via the Electronic Death Registration System.
