June 22, 2020 Wyandot County Public Health COVID-19 Update:
Today we are reporting a total of 56 coronavirus cases. This includes 43 lab-confirmed cases, 7 probable cases, and 6 probable cases based on positive antibody tests* in Wyandot County. There are currently no patients hospitalized for COVID-19. Of the reported individuals, there have been 4 deaths and 51 recoveries. Do not rely on the number of positive tests to determine when you need to protect yourself. Please continue to practice social distancing, wear face coverings in public, and self-quarantine when possible.
*Antibody testing is currently available to the public. As Wyandot County Public Health receives the results of these tests, they will be reported using specific criteria. If the patient received a positive antibody test and had been in close contact with a lab-confirmed case, linked to a community outbreak, or exhibited symptoms of COVID-19, the case will be labelled as probable. A positive antibody test result meeting none of these conditions will be considered a suspected case.
