As respiratory illness season looms, Wyandot County Public Health is offering several opportunities for the public to be immunized against the flu and COVID-19.

Flu and COVID-19 immunizations are available to walk-ins at the following clinics:

  • Brew to the Flu: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Wyandot County Public Health, 127-A S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky. Getting immunizations is better with a cozy drink in hand and some spooky season flair. Costumes are encouraged. Halloween giveaways are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Autumn Immunity Flu & COVID-19 Clinics: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10 and Thursday, Nov. 12 at Wyandot County Public Health, 127-A S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky. Don’t leave it to chance; getting protection against respiratory illnesses ahead of fall gatherings is easy as pie.

Flu and COVID-19 immunizations are also available by appointment on Mondays and Fridays at Wyandot County Public Health. To schedule, call Wyandot County Public Health at 419-294-3852.

These clinics offer the 2026-2027 trivalent flu vaccine for individuals 6 months and older. High-dose flu vaccines are available for individuals ages 65 and older. Wyandot County Public Health is also offering the Spikevax (Moderna) 2026-2027 COVID-19 vaccine for individuals 6 months and older.

People who are uninsured or underinsured are encouraged to ask about reduced-cost immunization programs before scheduling appointments or receiving immunizations at walk-in clinics. For all immunization-related and insurance-related questions, call Wyandot County Public Health at 419-294-3852.

Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or another adult to receive immunizations. A completed Vaccines for Minors consent form is required for children attending immunization clinics with an adult who is not a legal guardian. The form is available at wyandothealth.com/forms/. Adults who are not parents or legal guardians should also bring identification.

While immunization is the first and most crucial step in preventing respiratory illness, everyday preventive actions such as staying home when sick, staying away from those who are sick, covering coughs and sneezes, frequent and proper handwashing, and masking in public spaces when ill remain important protective factors for our community.

Wyandot County Public Health is nationally accredited through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB).
