UPPER SANDUSKY, Ohio – Squeeze the most out of the last nights of summer fun at the fourth annual Friday Fun Fest from 4-7 p.m. Aug. 8, 2025, at Harrison Smith Park in Upper Sandusky.
The Friday Fun Fest is an event put on by the Wyandot County Family and Children First Council and Wyandot County Public Health with the support of generous sponsors and community partners working to make the event free and fun for the whole family.
Start the afternoon with the Hub at 4 p.m. at a kickoff event for Wyandot Walks, Bikes, & Rolls to start fall fitness goals with community support. The group will meet at the reservoir trailhead behind the red park bridge.
The official Fun Fest kickoff will take place at 4:15 p.m. with Wyandot County Prevention at the Upper Sandusky Community Park Pool. Attendees will receive a free beachball. Friday Fun Fest attendees also receive free admission to the pool for all ages from 4-8 p.m. thanks to Fun Fest sponsors.
Attendees can grab dinner including free hot dogs, chips, fruit cups, snow cones, and water outside of the pool area.
Then drop by to chat with organizations serving families living in Wyandot County and beyond in and around the white shelter building. Several different organizations will be present offering displays, activities, freebies and giveaways.
A touch-a-truck event will feature local first responders and law enforcement with Mercy Health Life Flight expected to land around 6 p.m.
As part of the Wyandot County Safe Communities Drive Sober Kick Off, the third annual Zero Proof Mix Off is 4-7 p.m. at the traffic safety tent. Sample alcohol-free drink recipes created by local organizations and vote for a favorite. A guest speaker from the Ohio State Highway Patrol will speak at 5 p.m. about the importance of sober driving.
Wyandot County Public Health will offer free car seat and booster seat checks from 4-6:30 p.m. at the front of the park. Checks are conducted by certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians offering caregivers education and peace of mind. Checks take at least 30 minutes to complete, so no checks will start after 6:30 p.m. Please plan accordingly for the duration of a seat check. Drive-ins are welcome. Caregivers may also schedule ahead by calling Callan McMillion, Ohio Buckles Buckeyes coordinator at 419-294-3852 ext. 233.
