UPPER SANDUSKY, Ohio – Squeeze the most out of the last nights of summer fun at the 2026 Friday Fun Fest, 4-7 p.m. Aug. 7, 2026, at Harrison Smith Park in Upper Sandusky.
Friday Fun Fest is an event presented by the Wyandot County Family and Children First Council and Wyandot County Public Health with the support of generous sponsors and community partners working to make the event free and fun for the whole family.
Start the afternoon with Wyandot County Prevention at the official Fun Fest kickoff at 4 p.m. at the Upper Sandusky Community Park Pool. Friday Fun Fest attendees can receive a free beach ball at the kickoff. Swimming is free to the community at the Upper Sandusky Park Pool from 4-7 p.m. thanks to Fun Fest sponsors.
Stop by the Wyandot County Safe Communities Coalition’s traffic safety tent for the annual Zero Proof Mix Off mocktail competition. Local organizations and businesses will serve samples of their mocktail creations. Attendees will have a chance to vote for their favorite drinks and are encouraged to try the recipes at home for sober guests and designated drivers at upcoming Labor Day parties. The coalition will also host a guest speaker from Wyandot County EMS at 5 p.m. who will share a reminder about the importance of sober driving.
Next, look behind the scenes and learn more about local transportation and first responder vehicles at a touch-a-truck event near the Harrison Smith Park cabin. Then drop by to chat with organizations serving families living in Wyandot County and beyond in and around the white shelter building. Several different organizations will be present offering displays, activities, freebies and giveaways.
Attendees can grab dinner including free hot dogs, chips, fruit cups, snow cones and water outside of the pool area at the park.
Parents and caregivers of children 12 and younger shouldn’t miss Wyandot County Public Health’s free car seat and booster seat check. Trained Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) will offer seat checks from 4-6:30 p.m. at the front of the park. Checks take around 30 minutes to complete and offer peace of mind that a child is riding in a properly installed seat that is right for the child’s height, weight and development level. Seat checks may be completed without scheduling ahead, but caregivers should arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to ensure CPST availability.
