March 29, 2020 Wyandot County Public Health COVID-19 Update:
Based upon current projections, within the next two to three weeks, medical facilities throughout the state could see a substantial increase in Covid-19 patients. One of the biggest limitations to treating patients at this time is limited medical supplies. If you have any of the following supplies, please consider donating them to the Wyandot County response:
• Surgical gowns
• Face/surgical masks
• Gloves
• N-95 particulate respirators
• Isolation gowns
• Face shields
• Tyvek coveralls
• Thermometers
• Foot coverings
• Ventilator tubing
• Hand sanitizer that contains greater than 60% alcohol
• Sanitizer wipes
Donations will be accepted weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Wyandot County EMA office, which is located within the EMS building at 401 North Warpole Street in Upper Sandusky. For safety purposes, donors will remain in their vehicles and phone the EMA office at 419-294-4916 when they are in the parking lot and ready for a staff member to retrieve their contribution.
As of 8:30 AM today, we are reporting one total positive COVID-19 test result in Wyandot County, and community transmission is suspected.

Protect yourself and others from COVID-19 by taking these precautions:
• Stay home
• Practice Social Distancing
• Get adequate sleep and eat well-balanced meals
• Wash hands often with water and soap (20 seconds or longer)
• Dry hands with a clean towel or air dry your hands
• Cover your mouth with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth with unwashed hands or after touching surfaces
• Clean and disinfect "High-Touch" surfaces often
• Call before visiting your doctor
• Practice good hygiene habits
