August 6, 2020: COVID-19 Update

August 6, 2020 Wyandot County Public Health COVID-19 Update:

Wyandot County Public Health is saddened to report the eighth death of a Wyandot County resident due to COVID-19.  Our condolences go out to the family friends of this individual.

Today we are reporting a total of 136 coronavirus cases.  This includes 119 lab-confirmed cases, 10 probable cases, and 7 probable cases based on positive antibody tests in Wyandot County.  There are currently 5 patients hospitalized for COVID-19.  Of the reported individuals, there have been 7 deaths and 92 recoveries.  Do not rely on the number of positive tests to determine when you need to protect yourself.  Please continue to practice social distancing, wear face coverings in public, clean and disinfect regularly, monitor your health daily, and wash your hands frequently.
