April 6, 2020: COVID-19 Update

April 6, 2020 Wyandot County Public Health COVID-19 Update:

As of 8:30 AM, there are five confirmed cases of coronavirus in Wyandot County. Do not rely on the number of positive tests to determine when you need to protect yourself. Continue to practice social distancing. The Stay at Home Order was put in place to protect citizens through self-quarantine. Please take these regulations seriously to keep Wyandot County healthy.  Please refer to our Facebook page for specific Wyandot County data.

As of 2:00 PM Monday, the Ohio Department of Health reported 4450 confirmed cases, 1214 hospitalizations, and 142 deaths. For additional statewide case information visit: https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid-19/

Dealing with stress during a national pandemic can be overwhelming. It is natural to have feelings of anxiety, worry, and grief during this outbreak. Here are some tips to manage these emotions:

• Avoid excessive exposure to COVID-19 media coverage
• Limit social media use
• Eat nutritious meals and stay hydrated
• Keep in touch with family and friends via phone or video chat
• Self-care: Make time for activities that you enjoy
