April 11, 2020 Wyandot County Public Health COVID-19 Update:

Wyandot Public Health is sad to report the second COVID related death in the county. The patient was in his 80’s with underlying health conditions, and was one of the two hospitalized cases previously reported. Our thoughts are with his family and friends this Easter.

To date there have been 10 individual confirmed coronavirus cases in Wyandot County. Do not rely on the number of positive tests to determine when you need to protect yourself. Continue to practice social distancing. The Stay at Home Order was put in place to protect citizens through self-quarantine. Please take these regulations seriously to keep Wyandot County healthy. Specific Wyandot County Data can be found on WCPH Facebook page.

The Ohio Department of Health reported 6,250 confirmed cases, 1,859 hospitalizations, and 247 deaths as of 2:00 PM. For additional statewide case information visit: https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid-19/
