January 5, 2021 Wyandot County Public Health COVID-19 Update:
Wyandot County Public Health is sadly reporting eight additional COVID-19 deaths in Wyandot County. The Health Department continues to send sympathies to those families that have experienced a loss during this time. We ask the public to be vigilant in protecting themselves and each other as this virus rapidly spreads through our community.
There are currently 505 active cases of COVID-19 in Wyandot County. The cumulative case count since March 2020 is 1,720. This includes 1,394 lab-confirmed cases, 303 probable cases, and 23 probable cases based on positive antibody tests. There are currently 12 patients hospitalized for COVID-19. Of the reported individuals, there have been 42 deaths and 1,173 recoveries.
Please continue to practice social distancing, wear face coverings in public, clean and disinfect regularly, monitor your health daily, and wash your hands frequently.
As of 2:00 PM Tuesday, the Ohio Department of Health has reported 735,003 confirmed and probable cases, 39,650 hospitalizations, and 9,247 deaths in Ohio.
