December 30, 2020 Wyandot County Public Health COVID-19 Update:
Wyandot County Public Health is sadly reporting two additional COVID-19 deaths in Wyandot County. The Health Department continues to send sympathies to those families that have experienced a loss during this time. We ask the public to be vigilant in protecting themselves and each other as this virus rapidly spreads through our community.
There are currently 559 active cases of COVID-19 in Wyandot County. The cumulative case count since March 2020 is 1,608. This includes 1,322 lab-confirmed cases, 264 probable cases, and 22 probable cases based on positive antibody tests. There are currently 12 patients hospitalized for COVID-19. Of the reported individuals, there have been 32 deaths and 1,017 recoveries.
Please continue to practice social distancing, wear face coverings in public, clean and disinfect regularly, monitor your health daily, and wash your hands frequently.
As of 2:00 PM Wednesday, the Ohio Department of Health has reported 690,748 confirmed and probable cases, 38,002 hospitalizations, and 8,855 deaths in Ohio.
