December 7, 2020: COVID-19 Update

December 7, 2020 Wyandot County Public Health COVID-19 Update:

Wyandot County Public Health is sadly reporting the 21st COVID-19 death in Wyandot County.  The Health Department continues to send sympathies to those families that have experienced a loss during this time.  We ask the public to be vigilant in protecting themselves and each other as this virus spreads throughout our community.

There are currently 249 active cases of COVID-19 in Wyandot County.  The cumulative case count since March 2020 is 974.  This includes 865 lab-confirmed cases, 95 probable cases, and 14 probable cases based on positive antibody tests.  There are currently 9 patients hospitalized for COVID-19.  Of the reported individuals, there have been 21 deaths and 704 recoveries.  

Please continue to practice social distancing, wear face coverings in public, clean and disinfect regularly, monitor your health daily, and wash your hands frequently.
